Setting: Acute Care Operating Room / Perioperative Nursing Start Date: 08/31/2026 End Date: 11/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-hour evenings, Monday through Friday, 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM Hours per Week: 40 Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,700 - $2,840 Call Requirements: Approximately once per week; every 3rd to 4th weekend; holiday call Charting System: Epic Orientation: 1 week Scrubs: Provided Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Illinois Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room nursing experience Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Scrubbing experience required Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing, OR workflows, and surgical procedures Ability to work evening shifts and participate in a rotating call schedule Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented hospital environment Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality nursing care throughout the perioperative process Support a wide range of surgical specialties, including general surgery, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, ortho, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic cases Perform scrubbing duties as needed and assist the surgical team with procedural readiness Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changes in the operative setting Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and support staff to ensure smooth case flow Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold established clinical standards Participate in call coverage for evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled Contribute to a safe, efficient, patient-centered surgical environment with a focus on teamwork and quality care Apply now to join this Operating Room RN opportunity in Rockford, Illinois and take the next step in your perioperative nursing career.
