Construction Superintendent

Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations for adaptive reuse and multifamily renovation projects
• Manage construction activities from project mobilization through final punch list and closeout
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and onsite workforce activities
• Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules to ensure milestones are achieved
• Manage trade sequencing and ensure efficient workflow across multiple subcontractors
• Enforce jobsite safety standards, OSHA requirements, and company safety policies
• Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and promote a strong safety culture onsite
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and documents to ensure accurate field execution
• Coordinate with Project Managers on RFIs, submittals, field changes, and unforeseen conditions
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, architects, engineers, inspectors, and ownership representatives
• Monitor quality control and ensure work meets project standards and specifications
• Complete daily site reports, progress updates, and project documentation
• Manage punch list activities and support successful project closeout
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, permitting requirements, and inspection processes
• Resolve field issues and provide solutions to maintain project progress

Qualifications and Certifications

• 10+ years of construction experience managing field operations
• Strong experience with adaptive reuse and multifamily renovation projects
• Knowledge of urban construction practices, building codes, permitting, and inspections
• Experience managing subcontractors and complex jobsite logistics
• Proven ability to manage construction schedules, trade coordination, and project sequencing
• Strong understanding of construction documents, drawings, and specifications
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience using construction management software such as Procore, MS Project, and Bluebeam
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
• Experience with historic preservation or landmark building projects
• LEED Accreditation or knowledge of sustainable construction practices
