Network Engineer
Immediate need for a Network Engineer for a position in the IT industry. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity with long-term potential located in Philadelphia, PA.
Key Responsibilities/Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Skills Required: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required.
- Will also consider one year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 7 years of experience.
- Experience to telecom service provider domain predominantly into networking area of telecom.
- Good understanding of L2/L3 networking concepts.
- Good understanding of networking protocols and technologies such as BGP, MPLS, Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN.
- Understanding of configuration on Cisco IOS or Juniper JUNOS.
- Basic understanding of IP routing, VLAN tunneling and WAN protocols.
- Scripting skills in Python would be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving.
