Resident Care Manager- RN

Full time- M-F

Wage range: $49 to $64/hour

Position Description:

The RN Care Manager has 24-hour accountability for the care of all residents assigned to his/her units. The RCM's name will appear on the residents' medical record and on the care plan. The RCM collaborates with all members of the healthcare team to develop and maintain the highest quality of nursing care for his/her assigned residents. The RCM works under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services.

Performance Responsibilities:

1. Adheres to state regulations concerning delivery of resident care and assures that services are provided and documented in the medical record.
2. Demonstrates knowledge and judgement concerning resident care delivery and utilizes the nursing process.
3. Demonstrates observation skills for obvious and subtle changes in resident condition.
4. Demonstrates the ability to establish priorities and organize time effectively.
5. Demonstrates leadership abilities.
6. Demonstrates written and verbal communication skills.
7. Assumes responsibility for professional growth and continuing education.
8. Participates in education of staff, residents and families.

Education:

• Completion of Accredited Licensed Nursing Program (RN)
• BS Degree, preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and related professional experience

Experience/Training:

• Minimum of 1 year professional managerial experience in related field
• Clinical observation and assessment skills
• Proficient computer skills necessary to complete documentation, review electronic health records and communicate with team members

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Current RN license
• Current CPR certification

Qualifications

Preferred: Bachelors or better in Nursing.
