Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year; first-timers accepted License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Telemetry/PCU experience with patient population including adults to geriatrics. Experience with diagnoses such as CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, PE/DVT/vascular issues. Description: Provide care in a telemetry/PCU unit setting. Assess and manage patients with complex cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with team members. Administer medications and manage IV therapies. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team. Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans. Document all nursing assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR system. Maintain a safe and clean environment following infection control protocols. Flexibility in scheduling and floating within the facility is expected. Meet compliance requirements for onboarding and training. Work majority of weekends and major holidays as needed. Provide high-quality nursing care and contribute to improving patient outcomes. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all policies and procedures. Support the healthcare team in providing exceptional patient-centered care.
