Dual Credit Student Specialist

The Dual Credit Student Specialist is responsible for supporting high school students as they seek to enroll in dual credit courses in pursuit of post-secondary credentials and careers. This position will ensure dual credit students receive high-quality support and targeted communication that prepares them for success and leads to a more seamless onboarding experience.

What You Will Do

Essential Functions and Duties

• Oversee the successful onboarding and enrollment processes of dual credit students at assigned high schools, strategically addressing barriers as they arise;
• Serve as key liaison between partnering high schools, students, parents, and internal stakeholders regarding onboarding and enrollment;
• Facilitate application drives, registration events, and outreach activities for current and prospective dual credit students at more than 20 high schools;
• Review, maintain, and analyze student records, TSI documentation, and related academic materials to determine program and course eligibility;
• Promote and share student eligibility requirements for programs that eliminate or reduce the cost of dual credit;
• Collaborate with Dual Credit Student Success Specialists to ensure alignment and strategic student engagement;
• Be able to serve as lead project manager for office initiatives geared toward improving the student onboarding and registration process;
• Represent the department as needed on institutional, local, regional, state, and national committees and organizations

Supervisory Responsibilities

Individual Contributor

Work Environment: Indoor office setting. May require work outside of regular business hours, weekends, and holidays

Physical Demands: Sitting, walking, standing, bending, lifting up to (~40 lbs.), and repetitive typing

Travel Required: Yes 20% to service area ISD's and conferences

If travel is required, the candidate must have and maintain a current, valid Texas driver's license and an acceptable driving record.

Who You Are

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in Education, Communication, Social Work or a related field.

Required Experience

Two years of experience in education, mentoring programs, data entry, or a related field.
