Design Liaison Engineer

Payrate: $50.00 - $55.00/hr.


Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Design Liaison Engineer IV to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with the Global Supply Chain (GSC) and collaborating cross-functionally to drive continuous improvements, maintain optimal quality, and support the design and manufacturing processes.


Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Global Supply Chain to improve and manage hardware non-conformances.
• Support design for producibility, lean flow, and concurrent engineering.
• Assist in hardware qualifications for new processes, process changes, and new equipment.
• Participate in supply chain Kaizens and lean action workouts to engage in proactive quality improvements.
• Support qualification guidelines, specifications, and address top manufacturing issues.
• Develop and qualify special processes such as castings, coatings, and hole drilling.
• Foster teamwork, maintain a positive working environment, and drive a sense of urgency and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in mechanical engineering.
• Experience in gas turbine engineering, particularly with hot section components.
• Manufacturing experience and familiarity with lean manufacturing methods.
• Knowledge of HGP components, including NX, GD&T, and ANSYS Classic.
• Ability to build trust and collaborate with team members and interfacing organizations.
• Experience with advanced manufacturing processes and statistical process control.
• Customer satisfaction mindset with a strong quality orientation.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Skills

• Willingness to challenge the status quo and deliver high-quality products.
• Proficiency in FEA, solid modeling, Python, and other analytical tools.
• Understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to rapidly shift priorities based on business needs.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $50.00 - $55.00 /hour . Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
