Lead Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to support the migration of a Loan Origination System from mainframe COBOL to a modern AWS microservices architecture. This role requires deep backend development expertise, strong DevOps capabilities, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment across multiple hub locations. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of backend services using Node.js and TypeScript. Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines using Terraform with a strong focus on DevOps automation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration from legacy systems to cloud-native architecture. Deploy and manage applications on AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Maintain high standards of code quality and documentation. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members to drive technical decisions and project progress. Required Qualifications Expertise in TypeScript and Node.js for backend development. Strong experience with AWS cloud services. Proven ability to create and manage CI/CD pipelines using Terraform. Excellent communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions. Experience in migrating legacy systems to cloud-based microservices architecture. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Angular for frontend development. Familiarity with GraphQL APIs.
