Carpenter

This position is responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools, and confirming to local building codes. Essential duties and responsibilities include performing tasks involving physical labor on construction projects, including safety and protection, layout, interior framing, cold form metal framing, gypsum board installation, door, frame and hardware installation, bathroom partitions, acoustical ceiling installation, millwork installation, and site cleanup. The salary range for this position has been established at 0.00 - 0.00. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. Experience with metal studs, drywall, acoustic ceilings, doors and hardware preferred. Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
