Product Engineer

Setlog is a camera-first social app for sharing everyday moments and staying close with friends. We’re building a more playful way to keep up with the people you care about and turn the moments you share into memories. Today, Setlog has millions of daily users across East Asia, with our largest communities in Japan and South Korea. East Asia remains our core market as we begin bringing Setlog to a new generation of friends in the US. We’re looking for a Product Engineer who can utilize AI to build fast while manually perfecting the details and building delightful interfaces.

What you’ll do

• Build and improve core iOS and Android product experiences
• Fix bugs and improve reliability across key user flows
• Work closely with the founder on product direction and implementation
• Contribute to features that improve retention, delight, and everyday usefulness
• Help turn user feedback into better product decisions

We’re looking for someone who

• Has strong iOS and Android engineering skills
• Cares deeply about product quality and user experience
• Can move fast without being degrading the app
• Is comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities
• Has strong product instincts, not just implementation ability
• Can operate with a high degree of autonomy
• Is comfortable owning problems without needing highly detailed day-to-day direction
• Wants to help shape a consumer product at an early stage

Location

• New York City preferred.

• We are currently remote-flexible, HQ is in NYC.
