Lead Structures Mechanic (1st Shift)
This position is responsible for fabricating, repairing, replacing, or rebuilding aircraft structures, repair parts, and special tools, in accordance with policies, procedures, requirements, and specifications established by the company, applicable government agencies, and aircraft manufacturers as contained in approved Maintenance Manuals.

Minimum requirements and qualifications include a valid Airframe License, two years' experience in heavy aircraft maintenance, thorough working knowledge of all forms and documents required to support heavy maintenance service, ability to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, blueprints, and drawings, efficient use and application of tools, gauges, instruments, etc., understanding and working knowledge of hazardous material handling and disposal, minimum required tools, qualifications to obtain a SIDA badge, high school diploma or equivalent, thorough knowledge of work to be performed within a given classification and/or a specialized job/operation, ability to use good judgment and make sound decisions, leadership qualities to include the previously demonstrated ability to cooperate and work with others, ability to perform high quality work in a reasonable length of time, lead, and direct the work of their employees, ability to satisfactorily accomplish all job assignments with little or no supervision or instruction, and ability to efficiently and accurately read, interpret, and carry out written or verbal instructions, technical orders, operating procedures, and directives.
Major responsibility areas and duties include performing work in his classification for a major portion of his assigned working hours, leading, assigning work to, and directing all work in conformance with the classifications of employees assigned to him, instructing other employees in the proper methods and procedures of performing jobs when required, reading and interpreting information, answering questions, reviewing work in process, and checking completed work to ensure quality and timely completion of all job assignments, eliminating ordinary difficulties encountered in regular job assignments, preparing and maintaining records pertaining to job assignments as required, and being responsible for satisfactory completion of work performed by employees assigned to him.
Additional duties include performing other duties as assigned by supervisors necessary for the normal day-to-day operation, not determined at time of hire.
Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk for extended periods, climb and work from ladders, work stands, and other heights, work with one or both hands extended overhead, have correctable near and far vision, hear at conversational level with hearing aid, lift 25 pounds, handle and maintain control of small parts, and properly operate hand tools.
