Chapter 74 HVAC Teacher

Are you interested in working in a vocational technical high school and have a background in Heating-Ventilation-Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (HVAC)? Cape Cod Tech is hiring a teacher for its HVAC program. Candidates should possess strong content knowledge as well as a desire to teach and work with young adults. Candidates should possess basic computer skills and the willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues. MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Chapter 74 license in HVAC and/or teaching experience preferred. Non-licensed applicants applying may be eligible for a one-year waiver to complete Preliminary License requirements, providing that they can pass a CORI and fingerprint background checks, have a high school diploma, possess at least five years work experience in the HVAC industry and possess required industry licenses and certifications. Preliminary license requirements include taking and passing the MA Chapter 74 written and practical exams in HVAC as well as the MA Vocational Literacy test within first year of hire. Cape Cod Tech, located in Harwich MA, offers robust, hands-on technical education to high school students living in a twelve-town district. Students obtain industry certifications and credentials as well as their high school diploma to prepare for careers and college.
