Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Type: 12 Months Contract with Possible extension
Pay Rate: $28/hr
Shift Timings: 6:30 AM to 3:15 PM (Monday to Friday)
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46168

Warehouse Operator / Distribution Associate
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operator to support distribution and warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management activities while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive warehouse experience, proficiency with warehouse management systems, and experience operating multiple types of powered industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and products.
Unload trucks and accurately process receipts within the warehouse management system (WMS).
Perform product put-away and inventory storage activities.
Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
Process outbound shipments accurately and efficiently.
Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits.
Assist with material disposition and destruction processes when required.

Equipment Operation
Safely operate multiple types of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), including:
a) Swing Reach Truck
b) Stand-Up Forklift
c) Cherry Picker
d) Rider Pallet Jack
e) Sit-Down Forklift
Perform daily equipment inspections and follow all safety procedures.
Inventory & Systems
Utilize electronic warehouse management systems (EWM) such as SAP, Exacta, and RF scanners.
Maintain accurate inventory records and transaction documentation.
Ensure inventory accuracy and timely processing of warehouse transactions.

Safety & Compliance
Follow all applicable company policies and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, FDA, and DEA regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Support quality standards and compliance requirements throughout warehouse operations.

Qualifications Required
High School Diploma or equivalent.
5–7 years of experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.
Experience using electronic warehouse management systems (EWM), including SAP, Exacta, and RF scanning technology.
3–5 years of experience operating multiple Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Flexibility to cross-train and perform multiple warehouse functions.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Willingness to work overtime with little or no advance notice.

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds throughout the shift.
Ability to work a portion of the day in a temperature-controlled/chilled environment (36&degree;F–46&degree;F).
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and perform physical warehouse tasks.
Preferred Skills
Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated distribution environments.
Knowledge of inventory control and cycle counting procedures.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Familiarity with quality and compliance requirements in warehouse operations.
