Work Setting: Onsite

Schedule: MondaySaturday, 6:45 AM5:15 PM

Pay: $62.40$88.11/hr

Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to support the surgical team during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.

Key Responsibilities Assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures. Provide surgical exposure, tissue handling, suturing, hemostasis, and instrumentation support. Assist with patient positioning, preparation, draping, and transfer. Support anesthesia during induction and participate in surgical time-outs. Maintain sterile technique and monitor the surgical field. Assist with room setup, turnover, equipment, and instrumentation. Provide appropriate pre- and post-operative patient care and education. Collaborate closely with surgeons, circulating nurses, scrub staff, and other clinical teams. Participate in regional on-call rotation for elective, urgent, and emergent cases.

Must-Have Qualifications Oregon RN License RNFA certification/program completion from an AORN-recognized program. Minimum 2 years of peri-operative scrubbing and circulating experience in a Kaiser Permanente OR, OR 1 year of RNFA experience outside or within KP. Current BLS certification. OR nursing experience with strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile technique. Must maintain required RN licensure and CNOR continuing education requirements.

Preferred 2+ years of RNFA experience. CRNFA certification. ACLS certification.
