Global Category Manager

We’re seeking a Global Category Manager to lead end‑to‑end strategic sourcing for a high‑visibility category within our global supply chain organization. Reporting to senior leadership, you will own the full lifecycle of category strategy—from spend analysis and market intelligence to negotiation, contracting, and long‑term supplier performance management.

This role blends analytical depth, commercial acumen, and cross‑functional leadership . You will guide global category forums, partner closely with Engineering and R&D on cost‑improvement initiatives, and ensure continuity of supply through robust risk and business‑continuity planning. Your work will directly influence operational efficiency, cost structure, and enterprise‑wide performance.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the full strategic sourcing process, including spend analysis, market research, supplier evaluation, negotiation planning, and contract execution.
• Translate complex data and market insights into actionable sourcing strategies that drive measurable value.
• Conduct supply market assessments to identify risks, opportunities, and cost drivers across raw materials, logistics, and supplier capabilities.
• Develop category strategies that define supplier selection criteria, RFP/RFQ frameworks, negotiation objectives, and performance metrics.
• Build negotiation plans with clear opening positions, target outcomes, escalation thresholds, and approval alignment.
• Execute high‑impact negotiations and secure competitive commercial and contractual outcomes.
• Oversee contract implementation and ensure seamless integration across internal stakeholders and supplier partners.
• Lead global category meetings and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on cost‑reduction and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and evolve category strategies, including market trends, supplier assessments, and continuity‑of‑supply planning.
• Monitor supplier performance using structured scorecards, business reviews, and compliance tracking.
• Renew existing agreements and develop new ones that enhance operational efficiency, cost competitiveness, and business performance.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Strong background in supply chain, strategic sourcing, and/or category management .
• Technical understanding of semiconductor manufacturing , process engineering, or related high‑tech environments.
• Experience with chemicals, specialty materials, or bulk/cylinder gases is highly preferred.
• Ability to interpret financial data and apply it to sourcing decisions.
• Proven negotiation skills and experience managing complex supplier relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional language capability (e.g., Hebrew or Japanese) is a plus.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and operate with minimal supervision.
• Strong sense of urgency and ownership in resolving issues and driving outcomes.
