Diesel Mechanic

*Specialized Professional Services Inc. (SPSI)* is an established national and growing hazmat/environmental services contractor headquartered in Washington, PA. SPSI is hiring a full time Mechanic Monday-Friday afternoon shift (3pm-11pm).

*Job Responsibilities:*

* Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions.
* Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts.
* Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts.
* Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown.
* Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance.
* Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks.
* Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles.
* Experience with heavy equipment, small engines is preferred.
* Diesel Mechanic experience preferred.
* Previous experience maintaining and repairing air brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems and ABS brakes preferred.
* CDL License required.

*Salary:*

* $26-28.00/hour based on experience and certifications.

*Qualifications:*

* High School Diploma
* At least 21 years old
* Must pass drug and alcohol test, physical, background check and driving record check.
* Proficient in English (oral and written)
* The ability to work weekends and extended hours as needed. xhmxlyz
* The ability to travel and work at remote sites as needed.
