DHT Group, based out of Reese, Michigan has been ensuring safety and satisfaction for over 40 years. DHT is hiring at all facilities with additional Michigan locations in Newport and Port Huron and also Bellefontaine, Ohio. DHT has multiple divisions including Tanker, Gravel Train, Flatbed, Van, Excavating, and Landscape Supply. DHT also operates full-service repair facilities.

We are actively pursuing experienced over the road drivers.

DHT's CDL-A drivers will perform regional runs and follow a first in first out dispatch style where drivers will have 1.5-2-day resets weekly. There are flexible days off available for this position.

This is NOT a home nightly position.

Up to $2000 sign on bonus based on experience.

Essential Duties of a CDLA Dry van Driver:

• Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting goods
• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
• Operates a powered industrial vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
• Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations
• Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signals
• Maintains work orders, signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork
• Facilitates routine service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, gasoline, and air, reports maintenance malfunctions
• Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes
• Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy
• Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure and undamaged

Compensation Package for a CDLA Dry van Driver:

• Updated pay scale for experienced drivers .45 to .60 per mile.
• Paid weekly direct deposits.
• Up to $2000 sign on bonus for qualified applicants.

Requirements:

• Licensed CDL Class A Driver
• Acceptable MVR

Physical Requirements for CDLA Dry van Drivers:

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical
