Job Description

Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician Lead oversees medication dispensing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with clinical standards. The role involves supervising pharmacy activities, supporting staff, and maintaining adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily pharmacy operations, including medication preparation and distribution.
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians, providing training and guidance.
• Ensure all medications, especially chemotherapy drugs, are accurately compounded and dispensed.
• Maintain compliance with state licensing, certification, and safety regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate medication stocking and ordering.
• Collaborate with medical staff to verify prescriptions and address medication-related inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Must hold current Washington pharmacy technician licensure or have an active application in process.
• Certification from NHA or PTCB required.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience as a pharmacy technician, with proper chemotherapy compounding training.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead a pharmacy team effectively.
• Strong understanding of medication safety, pharmacy workflows, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy healthcare setting.
