Operations Manager

Operations Manager Location: Hudson, NY Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site Salary: $90,000–$120,000 annually, based on experience Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at a growing industrial facility in Hudson, NY. This leadership role is ideal for someone who enjoys being actively involved in the operation, working closely with employees, equipment, inventory, and workflow rather than managing exclusively from an office. The successful candidate will lead operational activities across warehousing, distribution, material handling, logistics, and industrial processing while driving efficiency, safety, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives. Operations Manager Responsibilities Manage day-to-day industrial, warehouse, logistics, and material-handling operations Lead and support a small operations team while remaining hands-on in daily activities Partner with ownership to establish operational priorities and support business growth Oversee inventory management, shipping, receiving, and workflow coordination Monitor operational performance, productivity, and quality standards Manage budgets, operating costs, and overall financial performance Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs, and operational improvements Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline processes Work with vendors, carriers, and logistics partners to maintain effective supply chain operations Maintain accurate inventory, shipping, receiving, and operational records Support the evaluation and implementation of automation, technology, and process improvements Qualifications & Experience Previous experience in Operations Management, Plant Management, Warehouse Management, Distribution Management, or Industrial Operations Leadership Background in manufacturing, industrial operations, recycling, distribution, material processing, warehousing, or logistics environments Experience managing workflow, inventory, shipping, receiving, and operational processes Working knowledge of budgeting, P&L management, cost control, and financial reporting Strong leadership skills with a hands-on management style Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety programs, and compliance requirements Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment or operational issues Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Experience with continuous improvement, Lean principles, automation, or operational technology is a plus Why Join This Opportunity?
