BI Data Engineer

Description: Data Specialist to assist with enabling BI (Business Intelligence) datasets to support Tableau dashboards. Primarily be working in Snowflake and Snap Logic to enable. Strong SQL and Snowflake required. Snap Logic, Tableau, GA4 and Python are added bonus.

Responsibilities:
- The Client Digital BI team is involved in many high visibility and important reporting needs that support both our dealer network and internal audience. The team is a high volume, high visibility, and growing space with challenging important work.
- Requirement gathering
- Data exploration
- Data preparation and transformation
- Strong SQL and Snowflake
- Understanding of dimensional and relational data modeling
- Knowledge of database security, performance standards
- Close attention to detail
- Maintain and enhance Snowflake data warehouse to enable Insights and Reporting Teams
- Competent to perform all necessary data related task which could include data design, data quality, metadata management, data governance etc
- Troubleshoot on complex problems and provide solutions to data issues
- Liaises with global teams to support project planning for efficient creation/maintenance of high-quality data
- Ensure compliance with the latest data standards supported by the company, and brand, legal, information security (data security and privacy compliance)
- Maintain knowledge of functional technology of the data management systems as they change with upgrades and new releases
- Contribute to designing robust, scalable data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) solutions
- Develop data ingestion store specifications identifying source systems and the tables and fields to ingest.
- Develop data object pipeline specifications including detailed field level mapping, business rules, data quality rules, etc.
- Snap Logic, Tableau, GA4 and Python
- Strong statistical and mathematical knowledge
- Completion of relevant industry-specific certifications
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Managing multiple tasks at one time
- Independent worker
- Strong collaboration and communication skills. Summarize and communicate complete solutions into simple messaging.
- Degree preferred with 2-3 years
- NO degree would require with 5+ years experience
