Maintenance Technician

Revere Control Systems is a leading provider of automation and control solutions for the industrial, water and wastewater treatment, power and energy, manufacturing, food and beverage, oil and gas, and pulp and paper industries. We design, build, and implement customized automation and control systems for highly complex projects. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician. This is an on-site role, and the candidate will work at our Hoover, Alabama office location. The job: As our Maintenance Technician , you will be responsible for basic maintenance around our facility. You will be responsible for the planned upkeep of buildings, grounds and machines while maintaining an optimally clean, safe and professional condition. You will be responsible for providing Maintenance Team support for Production continuous improvement initiatives. This position is responsible for performing a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance of buildings, grounds, company vehicles, parking lot, and related facilities. As the Maintenance Tech, you will handle building and equipment emergencies on an ongoing basis and respond to urgent maintenance calls. You will work closely with the Production Manager to support all facilities activities and be the first point of contact for internal and external customers seeking support and information. The skills you need: To succeed in this role, you must have experience with: Proactively keep the interior and exterior of the buildings well maintained. Perform general interior and exterior building maintenance and repairs, such as painting, sheetrock repair, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, floor covering, replacing/upgrading lighting, replacing a/c filters, cleaning coils, and basic maintenance of a/c. Exterior maintenance to maintaining parking lot, sidewalks, including regularly blowing exterior grounds. Power wash and or hose off, paint, and repair or replace outdoor furniture and slabs. Clean exterior windows. Pick up litter from premises. Assist production as needed for installing equipment in E-Houses, installing subpanels in enclosures, crating and building pallets for shipping, carpentry, metal grinding, and other duties as needed. Open and close, lock and unlock facilities as needed. Assist in setting up and taking down equipment for various functions and programs; prepare facilities for program use. Inspect, wash, and perform routine maintenance of company vehicles. Move and set up furniture, pictures, etc. as needed and assigned. Maintain current skills and knowledge in the proper and safe techniques of building and grounds maintenance functions. Keep records of work completed, tracking vehicle assignments/maintenance/mileage. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Education, Skills and Abilities Required: Any combination of education and experience which demonstrates the knowledge and experience to perform the required work. Working knowledge of equipment, materials, and supplies in building and grounds maintenance. Working knowledge of equipment and supplies used to do minor repairs. Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions. Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment; ability to use tools and equipment properly and safely. Ability to work independently and to complete daily activities according to work schedule. Ability to lift heavy objects. Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time. Ability to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions; ability to communicate orally and in writing.
