Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 2+ years of RN Endoscopy experience License: State License required Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: - 2+ years of RN Endoscopy experience Description: The Registered Nurse on the medical-surgical unit cares for a diverse patient population. This includes complex medical conditions and co-morbidities such as infectious diseases, oncology, behavioral health, hospice, and end-of-life care. The unit operates in a fast-paced environment that challenges both new graduates and experienced nurses. The team is pioneering a new virtual nursing staffing model, allowing the RN more time at the bedside and less time on documentation. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team. Develops, implements, and evaluates an individualized written plan of care based on assessments. Utilizes the Clinical Practice Model and the Caring-Quality Model. Seeks lifelong learning through certification, advanced practice, higher education, and literature review. Demonstrates leadership through knowledge sharing and being a clinical resource. Communicates effectively through collegial relationships and interdisciplinary communication. Demonstrates enhanced time management skills to contribute to overall team performance. Performs other duties consistent with the purpose of the job as directed. Attendance Policy: Strict attendance policy in place. RN contractors who are absent from a scheduled shift or late for their shift three times will be terminated. Exceptions may be made for situations such as a communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence. This policy will begin on June 1, 2024.
