Meaningful role supporting patient care and access to servicesPosition Overview We are seeking a highly organized, professional, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist / Insurance Assistant to join our multidisciplinary therapy practice in Southern Maryland. This in-person role is an essential part of our patient care team, serving as the first point of contact for patients while supporting front office operations, scheduling, insurance verification, authorizations, and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, experience working in a healthcare setting, and a strong understanding of insurance processes. This position supports Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), and psychological services. This role requires frequent inbound and outbound phone communication with patients, referral sources, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. Candidates must be comfortable answering a multi-line phone system and making a high volume of phone calls throughout the day.
