Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of patient care utilizing ANA Standards and the Nursing Process
Provide continuous monitoring and direct care for patients with acute care needs in the Intensive Care Unit
Act as a patient advocate, offering support and information to patients and their families
Utilize equipment and technology skillfully while maintaining technical competence in nursing procedures
Educate patients and families on significant self-care issues
Assist with inventory, distribution, and delivery of medications as required

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; must hold a license in the state of permanent residency
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 12 months of hire
NIH Stroke Scale Certification to be obtained during orientation
Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting
Familiarity with monitoring technology and equipment used in critical care environments
Experience caring for patients requiring continuous hemodynamic monitoring
