What You'll Do

• Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on steel poles, utility structures, and fabricated components
• Read and interpret blueprints, flat sheets, work orders, and welding layouts
• Operate welding, plasma cutting, and oxy-acetylene equipment
• Fabricate and weld structural steel components
• Use measuring tools to ensure precision and quality standards
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot welding equipment
• Follow production, quality, and safety requirements
• Prepare materials and components for final weld-off
• Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high-quality standards

Who We're Looking For

We welcome candidates ranging from recent welding school graduates and entry-level welders with hands-on welding training to experienced welders, fabricators, and highly skilled structural welders.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of production welding experience OR a technical welding degree/certificate
• MIG welding experience required
• Experience with Pulse Welding and Flux Core Welding preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
• Experience with fabrication and measuring equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Commitment to workplace safety

Bonus Skills

• AWS Welding Certification
• Forklift experience
• Plasma cutting and oxy-fuel cutting experience
• Heavy industrial or structural fabrication experience
• Experience working in manufacturing environments

Compensation & Growth Opportunities

Welder B (Mid-Level)

• Up to $28/hr + shift differential

Welder C - Pole Setup (Advanced Level)

• Up to $32/hr + shift differential

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valley, NE.

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $31.00/hr.
