Java Kafka Tech Lead

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Java Kafka Tech Lead to design, develop, and lead the implementation of scalable Java-based architectures and solutions. This role involves mentoring development teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to technical standards and quality throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable Java-based architectures and solutions.
- Lead and mentor development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements.
- Define technical standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and emerging technologies.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
- Document architectural decisions and system designs.
- Support deployment and integration of new solutions.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Tech Lead experience with Java and Kafka
- Advanced Java Concepts
- Digital: Kafka
- Drools Rule Management System / BAMOE (Drools rule engine)
- Spring Framework, Spring Boot
- Cloud services such as Azure or AWS
- Hibernate, JPA
- RDMS such as Oracle
- NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
- Messaging systems (Kafka or RabbitMQ)
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Junit, Mockito, Cucumber frameworks
- Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Open Telemetry)
- 8-10 years of experience
