General Service - C Technician / Mechanic & State Inspector Full-time, Department: Texas Location 7937 Westheimer Road, Houston, United States, 77063 Responsibilities All Maintenance work such as oil changes, tire rotations, suspension alignments, etc. Follow all rules and regulations as spoken or written by management, including the employee’s handbook and any addenda. Maintain a good and positive attitude and uphold the team concept at all times. Act in a professional manner that represents a quality organization, projecting honesty, integrity, and respect. Adhere to OSHA safety rules and regulations, as well as all city, county, and state shop safety regulations involving fuel spill cleanup or other hazardous materials. Assist in all housekeeping functions as directed by management. Examine the vehicle and discuss with the service writer/service manager the nature and extent of any damage or malfunction. Provide recommendations for repair, parts list, and hours required using industry standard labor guides, listing all items needing attention (maintenance, safety, or other). Perform a thorough Courtesy Inspection on all vehicles when approved by the customer. Ensure all under‑car, under‑hood, and preventive maintenance inspections and reports are complete and accurate. Raise the vehicle with a hydraulic jack or lift to access mechanical units bolted to the underside of the vehicle, using proper equipment and safety procedures. Qualifications 1 year of relevant experience and a State Inspection License. High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required).
