Key Responsibilities\n

As a Remote Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your daily tasks will include:

  • Conducting therapy sessions tailored to individuals, couples, and families that address emotional turmoil and relational challenges associated with recovery.

  • Performing in-depth assessments to capture clients’ emotional struggles, relational dynamics, and rehabilitation goals, thus enabling the creation of targeted treatment plans.

  • Implementing family systems theory to enhance communication skills, resolution strategies, and coping mechanisms amongst clients and their families.
  • \n
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team that includes physical and occupational therapists, medical professionals, and social workers to ensure an integrated holistic approach to client care.

  • Providing immediate crisis intervention support for families navigating particularly stressful moments during their recovery process.
  • \n
  • Documenting client progress diligently through accurate record-keeping and maintaining confidentiality in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

  • Offering educational resources to clients and family members about emotional resilience, rehabilitation techniques, and fostering strong familial ties.

  • Participating in continuous professional development to enhance your therapeutic skills and knowledge about current best practices in marriage and family therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will support come from diverse backgrounds, each with unique challenges ranging from emotional distress, relationship difficulties, and mental health disorders to the complexities of recovery from physical ailments. You will work to build strong therapeutic alliances, focusing on their individual and familial needs to facilitate sustainable health outcomes.

  • Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York is required.

Compensation and Benefits\n
