Food & Beverage Team Leader

Pay Starting hourly rate: $24.00-$26.00. Full hourly range: $24.00-$40.80. Pay is based on market, experience, certifications and other factors. Ensure every team member is trained and consistently delivers on Target’s guest experience commitments. Observe and provide feedback; hold team members accountable while recognizing great guest moments. Review area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, act to improve, and align team on the right behaviors and execution. Understand sales goals; plan and execute daily/weekly workload to achieve department and store sales goals and guest engagement. Lead a guest‑focused, efficient Food & Beverage team to meet standards by completing the daily standards walk. Assess backroom and sales‑floor areas daily, walking to ensure Food & Beverage Standards compliance. Prioritize business needs, identify workload tasks, review reporting, and follow up on business trends. Establish clear goals and expectations; hold team members accountable. Partner with the store leadership team through communication and collaboration to influence sales performance and workload deliverables. Maintain a fresh, full, and food‑safe area during all operating hours using inventory management and Food Safety policies. Assign daily tasks to team members based on workload and guest traffic patterns. Validate and follow up on team members’ progress against assigned tasks, routines, and best practices. Demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices; close skill gaps through coaching, training, and development. Lead and conduct team huddles to communicate focuses and trends. Develop and maintain vendor partnerships to ensure brand standards and reliable stocking. Ensure product availability by placing store‑initiated orders as needed. Stay informed on industry trends and products to educate the team. Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members. Assist with guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pick‑up, and Drive‑up operations while maintaining compliance. Be a subject‑matter expert on federal, state, and local adult beverage laws when applicable. Uphold Starbucks and Pizza Hut brand standards where relevant. Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; hold team accountable. Lead a safety culture, model safe behaviors, identify hazards, assist in incident response, and report injuries. Model physical security processes to enhance the store security culture. Support merchandise protection strategies across the store. Show inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and creating equitable experiences. Follow safe and secure training; occasionally assume store‑level LOD responsibilities. Handle emergency and compliance requirements. Perform any other duties based on business needs. Qualifications At least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent. Previous retail and/or food experience preferred (not required). Strong interest and knowledge of Food & Beverage business. Ability to lead and hold others accountable. Proficient with multiple frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology. Works independently and as part of a team. Manages workload and prioritizes tasks independently. Maintains focus in a fast‑paced environment. Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and teammates. Effective communication skills. Access all areas of the building to respond to incidents. Interprets instructions, reports, and information accurately. Handles cash register operations as needed. Climbs ladders and moves merchandise up to 44 lbs safely. Flexible with variable work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak periods. Works in refrigerated and freezer environments and handles allergens. Can work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements during Drive‑up, carry‑out, etc. Stays mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts.
