Position Overview The Regional Technical Training and Development Manager will work with the People and Safety teams to design, implement, and manage learning and development programs that enhance the technical skills, safety practices, and service delivery of Field Leaders in their region. This role ensures that Field Leaders meet certification, licensing, and apprenticeship requirements and are equipped to meet company standards for maintenance and repair of elevators, escalators, and other vertical transportation systems. Key Responsibilities Training program development Partner with People and Safety teams to design and develop training programs and materials focused on technical skills, safety protocols, and industry standards for elevator systems. Drive the CET certification process, ensuring candidates are prepared to pass exams. Oversee the apprenticeship program, mentoring apprentices and ensuring they receive technical instruction and on‑job training. Prepare Field Leaders for mechanic licensing requirements, including guidance on regulatory exams and compliance. Continuously assess and update training materials based on evolving technologies and industry changes. Field Leader training Conduct hands‑on and classroom‑based training for new hires and existing Field Leaders on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Provide refresher courses to reinforce safety practices. Organize and facilitate on‑job training (OJT) sessions for continuous learning. Performance monitoring and improvement Evaluate Field Leaders during and after training to assess skill levels and identify improvement areas. Develop individualized training plans to address gaps in knowledge or skills. Track and report training outcomes and improvements in field operations performance to management. Compliance and safety Promote a culture of safety through education and adherence to company safety policies. Collaboration and communication Work with Branch Managers and Field Supervisors to identify training needs and develop strategies. Act as subject matter expert and resource for technical questions from field teams. Travel Regular in‑region travel to provide on‑site training and support. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical degree or certifications in elevator technology or related field preferred. Experience Minimum 10 years of experience in the elevator or vertical transportation industry, including field operations, installation, maintenance, or repair. Previous training or supervisory role highly desirable. Skills Strong technical knowledge of elevator systems. Excellent communication and presentation skills for training diverse groups. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices. Ability to design and develop training materials using PowerPoint, video, and hands‑on demonstrations. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Other Valid driver’s license. Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region.
