CNC Machine Set Up Operator

We're seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our first-shift team. This role is perfect for someone with strong experience in CNC machining, excellent math skills, and the ability to work in a precision-driven environment. You'll be responsible for operating CNC mills, programming with CAMWorks, and producing high-quality mold components to exact specifications. Schedule Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM Pay: 18-23/hour depending on experience Key Responsibilities Collaborate with machine shop personnel to uphold shop standards Partner with engineers and technicians to review mold designs Analyze mold component designs using SolidWorks Determine specialized setup requirements based on tooling and stock Develop tool paths in CAMWorks Set up CNC mills and tooling using a presetter when needed Operate CNC machines and monitor cutting operations Measure finished components using calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges Communicate with mold assemblers to ensure seamless workflow Maintain a clean and safe work environment Safely lift up to 75 pounds and use mold carts to move materials Required Qualifications Proven experience with CNC machining and machine setup Familiarity with 3D CAD/CAM software, especially SolidWorks and CAMWorks Proficient in reading decimals, dimensions, and blueprints Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude Able to lift up to 75 pounds and handle physical aspects of the role Experience using measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers Effective communication and teamwork skills Preferred Skills Experience with CNC turning Understanding of wire EDM, manual milling/lathes, and surface grinding Strong computer skills for programming and documentation Why Join Us? 4-day workweek: Enjoy long weekends every week Opportunity to grow within a collaborative and innovative team Competitive compensation with potential for higher pay based on experience Work on precision molds in a well-equipped, safety-focused shop Apply Today!
