Claim Resolution Specialist, Personal Property

Overview Liberty Mutual’s Large Loss Claims Property team seeks a Personal Property Claims Specialist. The role requires managing, investigating, and resolving property contents claims under general supervision, including capturing inventories, coordinating vendors, and delivering quality customer service through face‑to‑face interactions and phone outreach. Responsibilities Manage, investigate, and resolve personal property loss claims. Capture on‑site inventory and detailed documentation of damaged or lost items. Coordinate with vendors and assist in locating replacements or repairs. Provide quality customer service to policyholders, explaining coverage, limitations, and replacement options. Collaborate with the large loss adjuster for scheduling, inventorying, and relocation assistance. Document all claim activities accurately in the claims file. Travel approximately 75% of the time, visiting customer homes for inspections and investigations. Attend product seminars and shows to build expertise in personal property items. Assist Claims Representatives with in‑person inspections when needed. May be called upon for catastrophe duty. Qualifications Strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and negotiation abilities. Customer service experience preferred. Knowledge of homeowner policy coverages. Experience with interior design, electronics, appliances, antiques, collectibles, clothing, or furniture retail preferred. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus 3‑5 years of directly related experience. Ability to obtain necessary licensing.
