Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Histology Technician to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will perform tissue processing, embedding, staining, and microscopic examination to support diagnostic and research activities.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process tissue specimens using automated equipment and manual techniques.
• Operate and maintain tissue processors, microtomes, cryostats, and staining machines to ensure high-quality specimen preparation.
• Follow established laboratory protocols and safety procedures in all tasks.
• Document procedures, sample data, and results accurately using LIS and HIS systems.
• Assist with quality control and troubleshooting of histology instrumentation and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold a BLS certification and possess less than 1 year of relevant experience.
• Be registry-eligible or certified as a Histology Technician through the ASCP or equivalent credential.
• Demonstrate experience with LIS and HIS computer systems.
• Have knowledge of laboratory equipment including tissue processors, microtomes, and stainers.
• Possess the physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform manual tasks.
