Matheny is a special hospital for children and adults with medically complex developmental disabilities. Our Adult Services Program includes five licensed community residences/group homes and two adult learning centers. Matheny has a career opportunity available for a Per Diem Respiratory Therapist for the night shift.

Duties of this position include:

• Performs patient-focused Respiratory Therapy services.
• Participates in Code Blue team drills and evaluations.
• Provides education and staff training.
• Provides oversight for environmental safety and equipment management.
• Complies with all appropriate Joint Commission and CARF standards of care.
• Participates in the interdisciplinary pulmonary clinics.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. The hourly rate for this position is $ 40.00 hourly.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the New Jersey State Board of Respiratory Care. Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Current CPR Healthcare Certification required.(BLS and AED)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification preferred.(ACLS)
• National Board of Respiratory certification required.
