Cafeteria Worker - Floater
Reports To: Food Service Director , Building Principals

Position Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in food service (preferred)
- Excellent Communication and Team Skills
- Strong Organizational Skills
- 180 Day Contract
- 12 Personal Leave Days
- Minimum 4 Hours Per Day (Hours Vary by Duty)

- Starting Salary Range $14.15-$16.49/hr
- Provides cafeteria support at various district locations as needed to meet daily staffing needs.
- Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
- Being a server on the hot service line
- Clean and prepare student dining areas
- Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
- Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
- Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
- Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
- Timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages
- Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
- Connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
- Supervise the food temperature requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
- Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
- Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment; duties include sweeping, moping, ware washing
- Performs other duties as assigned by an appropriate administrator or their representative.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and follow instruction.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with students, staff, and parents in a professional manner.
- Can work independently and in a team setting.
- Attention to detail and organized.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs
- Ability to push/pull carts and/or coolers
- Extended walking and standing
