Associate Attorney - Mass Tort Practice Group

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for the Mass Tort Practice Group in New York, NY. The successful candidate will represent clients in court, conduct legal research, and prosecute mass tort claims, contributing to impactful litigation efforts. Duties Analyze and evaluate medical records and testimonies. Consult and develop medical experts to ascertain liability. Investigate and gather evidence to support claims. Conduct witness interviews and prepare them for depositions. Prepare and file legal documents, including complaints and motions. Represent clients in court and present cases to a jury. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients. Stay updated on medical developments and legal precedents. Guide clients through the legal process. Collaborate with a team of lawyers, paralegals, and legal assistants. Requirements Understanding of medical terminologies and procedures. Strong research and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask and produce quality work. Outstanding negotiation skills. Education J.D. from an accredited law school. Certifications Bar admission in the state of New York. Skills Experience with medical malpractice claims preferred. Experience Five plus years of litigation experience with jury trials.
