Registered Nurse Orthopedic

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to orthopedic patients in a hospital setting. Support patient recovery, manage post-operative care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and patient needs.
  
  
• 
  Monitor and assess patient conditions, including pain levels and mobility, and document findings accurately.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and their families on post-surgical care, pain management, and rehabilitation processes.
  
  
• 
  Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment during patient care activities.
  
  
• 
  Utilize Epic EMR system to document patient information and treatment updates efficiently.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid state RN license required.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 1 year recent experience in orthopedic nursing or related specialty.
  
  
• 
  Proficiency with Epic EMR and medication systems, including Omnicell, preferred.
  
  
• 
  Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
  
  
• 
  Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  
  
• 
  Ability to float to different units within the facility as needed.
