We are Dover Precision Components, #LifeAtDPC**Essential Duties:*** Reading and comprehending instructions and following established procedures* Collecting all material and equipment needed to begin the process* Taking precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components* Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications* Align material and put together parts to build more complex units* Check output to ensure highest quality* Maintain equipment in good condition**Qualifications****Education*** Preferred- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)* Be able to read, write, and speak English fluently**Experience*** One year minimum manufacturing experience.* Ability to perform basic math, including the use of calculators.* Proven experience as an assembler**Skills & Abilities*** Strong attention to detail and accuracy* Cross-referencing documents and parts* Use of hand tools (Torque screw drivers)**Key Performance Characteristics*** Leadership Capability* Effective Communication Skills* Strong Work Ethic* Sense of Urgency* Positive Attitude* Honesty/Integrity**Position Type, Schedule and Travel**This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00-3:30 pm or 3:30-12:00 am. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.**Physical Requirements & Work Environment****Lifting and Carrying*** Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 50 lbs. (sometimes more, depending on the job)* The task repeats 6 -7 times per 8-hour shift**Standing and Walking*** Ability to stand for extended periods (8 -12 hours)* Frequent walking throughout the floor to clean, allocate, receive, pack /unpack materials and parts**Bending, Stooping, and Reaching*** Regularly need to bend, twist, kneel, or squat* Frequently reaching above the shoulders or below the waist**Manual Dexterity and Hand-Eye Coordination*** Ability to perform repetitive tasks with hands, such as assembling small parts, packing, or sorting* Use of small hand tools, requiring fine motor skills**Vision and Hearing*** Visual acuity (with or without corrective lenses) to read labels, gauges, blueprints, or assembly instructions**Work Environment*** Tolerance for light noise, dust, light, and light soldering smoke* Exposure to moving mechanical parts (Must be able to wear PPE – Steel-toed Shoes, Safety Glasses, protective gloves, and Electrostatic Control CoatThis position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.We consider several job-related, non-discriminatory factors when determining the pay rate for a position, including, but not limited to, the position’s responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, a candidate’s education/training, the position’s location, and the key skills needed for the position.
