About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; TNCC, PALS preferred Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with patient ratios of 4 - Proficiency in charting systems, preferably CPSI - Experience with telemetry and medical-surgical nursing Description: The position calls for a registered nurse in the medical-surgical/telemetry specialty. The nurse will work night shifts consisting of 12 hours each. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting. ACLS and BLS certifications are required for this role. First-time travelers are welcome, and local candidates are accepted. The nurse is expected to manage a patient ratio of 4. Skills in accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and interpretation of dysrhythmias are essential. Experience in managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration is required. The facility supports a diverse patient demographic, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Patient diagnoses may include weakness, pneumonia, fractures, cellulitis, and hypertension, among others. Daily patient census is approximately 6. Interdisciplinary support is provided by physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Special equipment in use includes Hoyer lifts and BiPAP/CPAP. Weekend coverage is required, with shifts scheduled every other weekend nights. Compliance with all health and safety protocols is necessary.
