Welcomes our guests with a smile and with a friendly, courteous greeting./ppCompensation: $17.75/pulliEarn $1000 for Culinary, Engineering, Housekeeping, and $350 for all other roles for each hired referral at any Evans Hotels property./liliDiscounted Hotel Rooms for you, family and friends./liliFree Employee Parking and/or discounted MTS Pronto card./liliFree Meals Refreshments during working shifts./liliCareer advancement opportunities!/liliHealth (including SIMSA), Dental, Vision, 401k with match, life insurance, sick and vacation time./liliDiscounts on cell phone bills, shoes, gym memberships, and more!/li/ulpEssential Duties/pulliCordially and professionally presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service./liliEmploys suggestive selling techniques to stimulate sales./liliActively observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed./liliChecks with the guest after 3-4 minutes after serving the meals, in order to ensure guest satisfaction./liliFollows cash and credit card handling policies at all times./liliIs responsible for entire section of tables (cleanliness, sanitation, organization, etc.)./liliIs responsible for complete knowledge of menus, including cooking time, ingredients, etc./liliPerforms additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team./li/ulpQualifications/pulliAt least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training./liliA combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement./liliPrevious similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred./liliAvailability to work on weekends and holidays is required./liliMust be able to attain a valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire. Evans Hotels will provide this training and is to be completed at the companys expense./liliRBS certification required./liliAbility to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges./liliAbility to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs./liliThe following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq./li/ul/div
