Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Nampa, Idaho. This position involves providing care within a specialized LDRP unit, including attending deliveries, postpartum, triage, and newborn care. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience in labor and delivery and be prepared to meet the specific requirements of the unit. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Nampa, Idaho
• Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts); schedule includes weekends as needed
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: Current RN license Certifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Stable protocol certification Education: Must have at least 3 years of labor and delivery experience and mother-baby experience (preferably 1 year) Experience in attending deliveries, newborn care, triage, cesarean circulations, and postpartum care Experience with magnesium infusion Ability to titrate drips such as Pitocin, magnesium, and insulin Proven ability to perform and interpret electronic fetal monitoring in an EPIC electronic medical record environment
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience is preferred.
• Float: Float to all St. Lukes Treasure Valley sites; primary skill set in labor and delivery, postpartum, or antepartum, or as a sitter.
• Additional Information:
  • Travelers extend and return regularly.
  • Strict no fingernail lacquer policy (no acrylic or gel nails) due to NICU embedded within the LDRP rooms.
  • Travel duos require two vehicles; single vehicle arrangements are not feasible due to different sites and floating requirements.
  • Scrubs may vary across sites; this is the only designated LDRP site.
  • No set requirement for holiday work; may work during contract if needed.
  • Orientation includes 4 shifts on the unit, covering cesarean, labor, and postpartum.
  • EPIC charting system is used; compliance and EPIC Curio assignments must be completed before start.
  • Candidates permanent addresses must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility for eligibility.
