Job Description Job Description Description Veterinary Technician - Emergency Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists – Mansfield Mansfield, TX Overnights /Night Shift Provide Critical Care When It Matters Most Compensation: Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT/VTS): $25.00–$35.00/hr + plus shift differential Experienced Veterinary Technician (Unlicensed): $22.00-25.00/hr + plus shift differential $1500 Sign on Bonus Available for overnights shifts Why You’ll Love This Role Overnight ER without leadership or managerial expectations Strong doctor–technician collaboration Advanced emergency medicine and diagnostics Supportive team culture with Thrive‑backed resources What You’ll Do As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you’ll provide hands‑on care to critical patients by: Supporting veterinarians during emergency exams, treatments, and procedures Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with emergency surgeries and post‑operative care Providing emergency nursing care and first aid to injured or recovering patients Preparing patients and surgical instruments for procedures Monitoring and interpreting vital signs, including blood pressure, ECG, SpO₂, and EtCO₂ Collecting laboratory samples and performing in‑house diagnostics Operating digital radiography and advanced diagnostic equipment Administering medications and treatments as prescribed Accurately documenting patient histories and medical records Maintaining clean, sterile, and organized treatment, exam, and lab areas Mentoring and supporting fellow technicians and assistants What We’re Looking For Required Experience & Skills Minimum 1+ years of emergency veterinary technician ECC/CVT/LVT/RVT credentials encouraged Strong anesthesia monitoring and surgical assisting skills Experience with post‑operative and emergency patient care Ability to assess patient condition and respond in fast‑paced situations You’ll Thrive Here If You Are Calm, focused, and confident under pressure Detail‑oriented with strong clinical judgment A collaborative team player who enjoys learning and growing in ECC About the Hospital Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists – Mansfield provides 24/7 emergency care, including holidays.
