The Dryer Operator is responsible for operating the whey permeate dryer and ensuring optimum daily performance and quality permeate and protein powder production. Perform daily operations and cleaning of equipment associated with the dryer operation. Perform operator level maintenance when needed. Safe operation and sanitation of equipment. Sustain and support automated systems. Follow procedures and work instructions set forth through SOP’s and Master Sanitation Schedules. What you need: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum two (2) years of experience in a related field required. Ability to read, understand, and adhere to documents and procedures (GLP, SOP, SDS, GMP, test procedures, and HACCP). Ability to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation. Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment. Where you’ll be working: Our Jerome, ID, plant is home to approximately 400 employees and processes approximately 7 million pounds of milk per day. This facility produces various types of cheeses, such as; mozzarella, cheddar, provolone, muenster, parmesan, romano, Monterey jack, gouda, and asiago. They also run various whey streams, such as; deproteinized whey, sweet dairy whey, GMP, permeate, instantized, and our top-rated BiPro products.
