Job Title: Automotive Lube Technician — Ramsey Car Wash

Job Summary:
The Lube Technician performs routine automotive maintenance services, primarily oil changes and fluid checks, while ensuring efficient service and a high level of customer satisfaction. This role follows safety and service procedures, maintains equipment, and supports overall service operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Vehicle Maintenance Services

• Perform oil and filter changes according to company procedures and manufacturer guidelines
• Check, top off, and maintain vehicle fluids (engine oil, coolant, windshield washer fluid, and others as permitted)
• Inspect basic vehicle components such as air filters, tire pressure, and wiper blades
• Identify and communicate maintenance needs or concerns to customers or supervisors
• Ensure all services are completed accurately and efficiently

Customer Interaction

• Greet customers and confirm requested services
• Explain service recommendations clearly and professionally
• Answer basic questions regarding maintenance services and pricing
• Provide updates on service status and completion

Safety and Compliance

• Follow all workplace safety procedures and proper tool usage
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free service bay
• Dispose of used oil and materials according to environmental regulations
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly

Equipment and Facility Care

• Operate service equipment and tools safely and properly
• Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of service equipment
• Maintain adequate levels of supplies and materials
• Assist with opening and closing service area procedures

Team Collaboration

• Work cooperatively with car wash and service staff
• Assist with workflow during high-volume periods
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic automotive knowledge or mechanical aptitude
• Ability to follow procedures and safety standards
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in quick lube, automotive service, or maintenance
• Familiarity with standard vehicle maintenance schedules

Work Environment

• Fast-paced indoor and outdoor service environment
• Exposure to automotive fluids, equipment, and moderate noise
• Standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks required

Salary

• $20 per hour
