The Procurement Project Manager supports the effective delivery of major projects within Commercial. The role works closely with cross‑functional teams to manage plans, interdependencies, risks, and resource commitments, ensuring delivery activities remain aligned. The role will support key assurance activities including business cases and gateway reviews. This role will work closely with stakeholders both internally and externally to drive delivery.

This role will require travel to either our Warrington (Head Office) or London.

We are recruiting for three permanent positions.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

* Lead the development and maintenance of procurement plans, working with the Commercial Senior Project Manager, Senior Commercial Lead and Commercial Team to translate project requirements into realistic procurement activity aligned to need-by dates, delivery milestones and critical path requirements.
* Responsible for audit readiness, supporting commercial colleagues with project set up and ensuring effective delivery structures and documentation are established at initiation.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage procurement dependencies, resource commitments and delivery constraints, ensuring the impact of procurement activity on wider project milestones is understood and managed.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks, ensuring potential disruptions are addressed and managed proactively.
* Maintain robust governance and responsibility for reporting to drive key procurement activity and support informed decision-making.
* Support the commercial team with assurance and approvals activities including key activities such as business cases and gateway reviews.
* Identify and manage stakeholder relationships, including senior stakeholders where there is need for senior level support.
* Supporting commercial leads with resource planning and working with Commercial Senior Project Manager to create an integrated Commercial resource plan.
* Work with the Senior Commercial Lead to monitor procurement budgets.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

* Proven experience in managing complex projects within a fast-paced environment.
* A strong understanding of risk management and the ability to anticipate, identify, and mitigate project risks.
* Experience of developing and maintaining project plans and identifying and managing interdependencies.
* Experience in supporting projects and programmes through government approvals and assurance processes.
* The ability to establish and develop productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, bringing people together to benefit the project.
* The ability to influence, change and impact decisions with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience in engaging, motivating, and mentoring colleagues.
* Exceptional organisational skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience in/ prior knowledge of the nuclear sector is desirable.
* Experience of project managing high value / complex procurements would be advantageous but not essential.

* Degree level qualification preferably in a relevant subject, or equivalent level of knowledge & experience

* PRINCE2 Practitioner
* Managing Successful Programmes Advanced Practitioner
* P3O Practitioner
* Association for Project Management (APM) Registered Project Professional
* Project Leadership Programme
