Job Summary:
Cardiac Care Nurse (CCL) in Peoria, Illinois. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab). The role focuses on managing patients undergoing various cardiac procedures, including STEMI, NSTEMI, and other cardiovascular interventions, with a focus on reading strips and titrating drips as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour days with call shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Illinois nursing license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; active BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS (American Heart Association) certifications; a minimum of 2 years of related nursing experience; ability to read strips; experience with titrating drips; familiarity with electronic medical records (EPIC); ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology; previous experience with GE, Philips monitors, or McKesson systems; knowledge of emergent cardiac care procedures.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Local rate applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles.
  • Call requirements include 6-8 weeknight or backup call shifts per month, with full weekend call shifts approximately every 6-7 weeks, starting Friday at 5:30 pm and ending Monday at 6:00 am.
  • Expectation for participation in holiday call shifts.
  • Scrubs are provided, and unit-specific orientation comprises 2-3 shifts.
