Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a high-risk, high-volume Labor & Delivery unit serving a diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and community care patients
• Function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery and continue care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum, including newborn assessments, eye prophylaxis, and Vitamin K injections — hard stop requirement
• Circulate in the OR — hard stop requirement; unit includes 4 operating rooms
• Administer and monitor high-acuity medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Utilize EPIC and perform electronic fetal monitoring — hard stop requirements
• Float as needed to Postpartum and Antepartum, including potential float to sister facilities that provide Mother/Baby care; staffing follows AWHONN guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required
• High-risk L&D experience required; must be able to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate; local candidates are also welcome

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• AWHONN Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Experience with high-volume delivery units (unit averages 500–600 deliveries/month)
• Familiarity with diverse patient populations including substance recovery support and community care settings
