Role Description This is a casual, or part-time, on-site Speech Language Pathologist role located in Saginaw, MI. The Speech Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across various stages of recovery. Daily responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, monitoring progress, and documenting all clinical services in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards. The role involves collaborating with physicians, nurses, occupational and physical therapists, social workers, and families to support coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes. The Speech Language Pathologist will also provide patient and caregiver education, participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, and contribute to quality improvement and best-practice initiatives. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Speech Therapy and treatment of Dysphagia, including assessment and intervention for swallowing and feeding disorders. Candidates should possess expertise in evaluating and treating Communication Disorders and Speech sound disorders, supporting clear, functional communication. Candidates should possess skills in diagnosing and managing Language Disorders, including receptive and expressive language difficulties across age groups. Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program and current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech Language Pathologist in Michigan. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or active candidacy toward certification preferred. Experience in hospital or rehabilitation settings, familiarity with interdisciplinary care, and strong documentation and time-management abilities.
