About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit Profession: RN Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years of ICU experience required License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state required Certifications: NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS required Must-Have: BSN highly desired Description: Must live 50 miles away. Three 12-hour night shifts per week. The ICU is a multidisciplinary unit that provides care for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients. Various types of technology are used to care for and treat critical care patients. This technology includes ventilators, ventriculostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), gastric tubes, and intravenous infusion pumps. Fulfills the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
