Senior Cook

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is seeking a professional, dedicated individual for a full-time Senior Cook position located in the Adult Detention Center.

Job Summary:

Duties include but are not limited to: preparing meals, ensuring safety in food handling activities during meal preparation, serving meals to assigned service population, maintaining kitchen inventory and records, and maintaining safety in handling food during meal preparation, complying with procedures and Health Department requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of related work experience. Hold or obtain applicable food service certifications within three (3) months of hire to include a Food Service Sanitation Certification and a ServeSafe Certification.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements:

Selection process includes review of the Applicant Screening Questionnaire and County employment application; in-person interview(s); and an intensive background investigation to include fingerprinting, criminal background check, credit check, driving record, and polygraph examination.
